Flo’s
Cottage is a 19th century, south facing, agricultural estate
workers’ cottage. This two bedroomed cottage has been
renovated
to a high standard by the owners in 2007. It retains many of the
original features: beamed ceilings, open cast-iron fireplaces and the
charm and relaxed atmosphere of a rural setting.
The
cottage is in the small riverside hamlet of Averham with the
market towns of Newark on Trent and Southwell just a few miles away and
close to the tourist areas of Sherwood Forest, Lincoln and
Nottingham.
What our clients say:-
Friendly and generous welcome,
beautiful cottage very well equipped, obviously with a great deal of
thought for the needs of the guests. Lovely location, quiet and
peaceful, yet with easy access to lots of interesting
places.

A fabulous cottage – extremely neat and clean with great
amenities. We’ve stayed in 18 self-catering cottages over the last
10 weeks, and this is in the top 4 (3 & 4*). Very welcoming and
helpful hosts. Lovely sights to be seen. We definitely recommend
Flo’s Cottage.

A beautiful cottage, exceptionally well equipped and home from home!
Every small and minor detail covered, nothing missed. Lovely welcome
from the owners and a unexpected but greatly received welcome pack. We
hope to visit again soon.

Had a lovely 4 days chilling out, visiting the local area. Lovely clean
cottage – lots of homely touches. Enjoyed the welcome pack, a
very nice touch. We would highly recommend the cottage, lots of
interest around, we will be back.

Lovely cottage. John and Heather made it feel like home away from home.
The cottage had everything we could need. Everything was very clean and
organised. It was a perfect base to visit all our family in the Newark
and Southwell area.
